The award-winning logitech cordless mouseman pro, designed while consulting at the darc design think-tank in milan, transformed computer mouse design with its ergonomic “vertical mouse” concept and the first ever thumb button.
The trendsetting swatch irony scuba 200 established new design standards for the marque.
As european design director for motorola (1999-2002) he led the design team responsible for the revolutionary v.70 mobile phone.

Established in 2002, jozeph forakis … design, based in milan and new york, works across a variety of sectors with international clients including epson, fujitsu, kikkerland, normann copenhagen, lg electronics, magis, samsung, swarovski, tecno, yamaha motors … amongst others.
Jozeph's work is recognized for it’s innovative use of materials and processes, as well as for his interest in the ‘behavioral’ influence of interactive technologies in everyday objects. The son of career artists, his cultural approach to design reflects his background in art and theater, with formative professional experience in set and lighting design in new york theater. Other early experience in the us high-technology and biomedical sectors established his interest in research-driven design.
He regularly teaches and lectures internationally. His designs have won many awards and have been featured in numerous publications, including “design now” (taschen), “spoon” (phaidon) and “international design yearbooks” (laurence king), and have been displayed in many galleries and museums globally.
In 2004 he was the subject of the first one-man exhibition ever organized by adi (italian design association) presented both in rome and in new york.
His work has been in numerous museums and galleries around the world including museum of contemporary art in chicago and the tokyo gas showroom in japan, and was included in the historic exhibitions “mutant materials in contemporary design” and “workspheres”, both at the museum of modern art (moma).
