Claudia Dibbe Piazza

Claudia piazza cidonio is a designer and cultural manager born in montevideo, uruguay, is passionate about fashion, gardening, decor and contemporary art. Lives between italy and uruguay. She holds a degree in communication sciences from the universidad catolica del uruguay. Doctorate in comunicazione sociale and master in storia dell'arte (la sapienza, roma) e philosophy (oxford university). She actively participates in initiatives of the fund for italian art (fai), ente decorazione floreali per amatori, the garden clubs and wafa, macro (museum of contemporary art of rome), maxxi, friends of the vatican museums, the biennale di venezia and is a member of the association of friends of este arte in punta del este and arte ba in buenos aires. She loves traveling, surfing, kitesurfing and snowboarding. Living near the ocean and reading platon, umberto eco, jorge luis borges and alessandro baricco. She launched her first collection "china-chic" in montevideo with a fashion show in 2011 at the moweek (montevideo fashion week). In 2012 she took part in the vogue fashion's night out rome parading in piazza di spagna and in babington's tea room, with her collection "un thè sull'orient-express" and “china-chic”. Since then, she has been dedicated to fashion, decor and garden design as a free-lancer designing women collections for important brands, as prada and marni. She believes that through art and its younger sister: design, the human being can grow and improve the society in which one lives.
