The project lives. It is made of simple things. The object is a lit up room where walls are ephemeral. The space is defined by lit up walls/screens made of semi-transparent rice paper mounted on timber frames where shadows of users become a project defining material by texturizing the whole surface. A timber bench is placed in the center of space. Its position generates a path to follow and gives a moment of rest to the visitor who is encouraged to chat with other people. The project is studied to make the most of the designated showroom area but its flexibility allows different combinations, suitable for different situations. We decided to occupy most of the project area so to create a space inside which the visitor could take some time to walk, see and read about florim’s selected projects undisturbed. A basic module based on the golden ratio rectangle defines the working element which create a light structure easy to mount, dismount and to transport. The golden ratio gives a proportion base to the project which is independent from the surrounding where the artifact will be placed. The project’s modules create a square shaped plan obtained combining three modules on each side and develops itself on two levels. The photographs exhibited are positioned on metal supports that are hold up by the wind bracing system of each module at the first level. The supports at the second level host a sample of the different products used for each project. The materials that define the project are few and are characterized by the fact of being simple, light and reusable. The combination of the materials and light creates an atmosphere of calmness for the user and curiosity for the outside viewer who will be encourage to approach the installation.
